At best a very average climbing video. Dire music choice.

That route is soft anyway
Comment by t-bird — June 15, 2010 @ 3:25 am
ok, it’s not professional quality by any means, but I thought it was pretty good. As for the sound track, it’s far better than putting on another lil wayne autotune bs to go with it.
Comment by markopoo — June 15, 2010 @ 4:33 am
I definately liked it, looked like a nice route. I didn’t mind the music either.
Comment by Peter — June 15, 2010 @ 5:07 pm
after watching it i feel the music makes sense and I dig it but it definately sucked at first. the video shooting and editing was average to poor. not very exciting.

To the good commenters of videoclimb.com-
Thank you all for taking an interest in this inspiring, interesting video. This video was the brainchild of myself, Señor David (“The Moisture Farm) Wetmore, and Mike (The Defiler) Foley. After spending close to 60 hours listening to a variety of music selections, ranging from Gilbert and Sullivan’s “The Pirates of Penzance” to The Magnetic Fields’ “I Thought You Were My Boyfriend”, we decided on the luscious, symphonic movement that you can now hear in the above video: Phil Collins’ ‘I Can Feel it Coming in the Air Tonight’. Why? Because all three of us take ourselves completely seriously, and have rarely, if ever, laughed. Also, if any of you have had sex to the aforementioned song, you would understand. As you may gather from the completely seamless screen wipes to the unmatchable lighting of each shot, this short video is the culmination of 2700 man-hours of labor (this includes all of the time it took for Mike to learn to climb 14c and for me to learn how to use a grigri). Therefore, hold your wretched tongues you foul internet trolls. This is art at its finest. If Monet’s “Water-Lillies” and “Gone With the Wind” had sex, this short film would be their love-child.

So, I’m the massive DOUCHE-BOT that made the video. We had a rest day and decided to do some filming with the intention of changing the ugly world we all live in. Such a nasty planet we have inherited. In fact, when I wake up in the morning, I think–I am the most bad-ass mother fucking video maker and I want everyone to know it and someday my movies will change how people think about climbing and themselves. I surely wasn’t thinking, let’s use a rest day to have some fun with my $100 camera from Best Buy and download an editing program I have no idea how to use. No no. I take myself far to fucking seriously for that bullshit.
OK: For all you gym rat, meat heads out there, if you can’t read between the lines, I’ll explain it for you. The music is a joke. OMG! THE MUSIC IS A JOKE! It’s supposed to be funny because believe or not, we like to have “fun” while climbing. You”re only “average” cocksuckers though–next time I want to see some real heat because I was thinking about quitting my day job. Where did you all learn to leak such an abundance of diarrhea out your mouth? Impressive.
You can see how seriously I take myself at davewetmore.louderthan11.com. I chose another brilliant song to go along with another unbelievably shot video.
