Yup. Btw, he didn’t do the line properly, it starts lower down. Someone else did the proper sit-down after Dave. Why start in the middle of a line? FA hungry perhaps?

because it was the last day of his trip maybe, yes vincent ponchon did the true sit start at the same grade
still good vid anyway

“Btw, he didn’t do the line properly, it starts lower down.” There is no such thing as proper start. There are many possible starts. So Chris Sharma didn’t do the proper start to the Mandala because years after someone opened a sit start?
The new start by Vincent Pochon reflects the opinion of Vincent Pochon and it’s of course his right to do it his way. By Vincent Pochon’s own words, even if the moves do ad a certain difficulty, the grading remains the same.
Anyway, great vid, love what he says at the end. Can’t wait to see him in some nice other movie.

the sit start is still a project, (the first move is probably around 8B…)

i think vincent pochon did the stand start from the bottom and dave started from the bloc behind, so the big island is 3 or 4 moves longer… but according to him it does not change the whole difficulty very much!
but with a sit start it could be a completly new thing:)
