Here is a nice little bouldering video featuring Nicolas Mathieu in his very first 8a in Fontainebleau. The video quality is not that great but yet, the editing is quite good. The working process of the problem shows how hard it is… Nice job!

  4. I don’t know who is this nicolas m, but it’s not me ;-) and yes, this problem is awesome, I’ve tried also ” la mandarine”, the prow on the left, they said 7c+, but if you are short, it’s a way harder, I’ve tried, I need to have harder beta than usual, because I’m short :-S but, this is font, the nature didn’t decide when she put the old on this formidable rocks

  6. Mandarin is harder for the tall, my knee is almost in my mouth doing that move, I managed it once today but unfortuanatly not from the start

I have just put a video up of the madarine if you are interested http://www.vimeo.com/7821925

my friend is short who tried it, there is a trick to getting your right hand up, thats to get your chest all the way round to the left of the prow, I also found a checky hold that makes the move to the top easier

    good climbs…..
