@ Dane,

Sorry for the little credit confusion I made... It's fixed now! For my part, I think that featuring great climbers such as Ron Kauk and Tommy Caldwell who made the history of Yosemite in this video was a great choice. This boulder was worth a movie like this and I love the way it was shot. Adding comments between the action helps to understand the reason this boulder is so famous. Regarding the action issue pointed by "Psicobloc", it's true, we all like to see more climbing actions but yet, for my part, the photos at the end are inspiring enough...

Well the main reason the video left a strange taste to me is that you hear many people talking about the boulder and you expect to finally have a great video of an ascent ground up and with multiple angles and finaly you only get the second half of the boulder filmed from the bottom (tommy caldwell ascent) which lasts like... 5 sec. The odd last move would have deserved another shooting angle in my opinion.

All in all, it's nice for the historical side but lacks on the climbing and climbing inspiration i think.

Very surprised that "videoclimb.com" shows this video as being made by Corey Rich, He had a bid roll in the production, but seeing as how Dane Henry shot, edited & produced the piece. I thought I'd get a little credit. :)

Anyways...@Psicobloc, I agree, it is very arguable what any "most famous" thing is, as it is very subjective to each persons personal experience. That being said we interviewed many foreign climbers for this piece and everyone of them stated that "Midnight Lightning" was one of the reasons they came to Yosemite. It's hard to say that about many other problems...only a few come to mind, The Mandala...The Thimble....anyways, sorry you didnt like it.

Really borgin comments in the video... maybe it's a really famous boulder in the USA but calling the most famous boulder in the universe is not humble at all. Trying to make it look like the beginning of bouldering is also very stupid as the were already bouldering topos in fontainebleau 30-40 years before it...

The video itself isn't that inspiring.
